About Us;

“Faik Mohamed Fadhel & Sons” was first established as an independent workshop on 25th Feb 1985 with his own workshop in Baghdad - Iraq. As Mr. “Faik” was born and bred in a pioneers’ atmosphere of Artists. He was the eldest son of the well known “Al Austta” Mohamed Fadhel. Those pioneers who supported the Artistic movement of Iraq, and later to be known as the best Oud Maker, best Oud player, Best Painter …etc
his workshop at Our District – Baghdad. Since then he has been honored many times and received Certificates for Participating in Arabic and international Festivals and seminars.

Biography;

He was born in 1941 in Baghdad – Iraq.
The eldest son of the well known Oud Maker Al-“Austaa” mohammed Fadhel Husain.
Graduated from the collage of languages – Baghdad University in 1963.
Member of the Iraqi Artists Committee.
Member of the Iraqi Musicians Union.
Studied The Oud Instrument Theories by Mr. Salman Shookr 1956 – 1960 in Institute of fine ARTS – Baghdad.
Studied for a Year The Tanboor Instrument by Mr. Masood Jameel in the Same Institute.
In 1953 he participated with his father in the First documentary on Oud Making Directed by Mr. Mohamed Shukri Jameel.
He also collaborated with his father as he grew up in the making of instruments and made his first Oud in 1957.
